Service Description

**Please reach out to be put on a list for this class. We require 6 teens to launch class. Each group is 75 minutes. The cost is $75 per week, payment plan available. Being a teenager is hard. Utilizing the skills taught in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) can help you learn how to take a pause, manage emotions, be present, and be more who you want to be in the world. When people learn these skills, we can navigate the world in more effective ways. This class is a great compliment to the Parent DBT class, so that parents and teens can be working simultaneously to build similar skills, and practice them together at home. This is a 12 week class. We will work on emotional regulation, which is a key to effective healthy coping mechanisms. Learn how to take a pause, be present, and self care. We will explore how to identify and tolerate thoughts and feelings. We will investigate how to stay present in the moment and practice distress tolerance so we don't inadvertently make things worse. This openness can help diffuse power struggles and tension. We will practice keeping and maintaining healthy relationships, getting what we want, and maintaining self respect. Please send questions to Dr. Kate Odom (DrO@GardenHealthGroup.com) to learn more or to be put on the list of those interested in attending the class.

You agree that you are responsible to pay for 10 of the 12 sessions, even if you are unable to attend. Attendance policy.
