Jasmine Timmester, MA
Doctoral Psychology Intern
Jasmine Timmester is a doctoral student in Clinical Psychology (PsyD) at Roosevelt University who approaches therapy from a feminist-relational, culturally sensitive, and holistic perspective. She believes that meaningful healing occurs within a strong therapeutic relationship and strives to create a warm, collaborative space where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences and move toward their goals.
Drawing from psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and somatic approaches, Jasmine tailors therapy to each client's unique needs and strengths. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in community mental health, outpatient, and hospital settings, supporting concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, life transitions, identity development, and relationship challenges.
Jasmine is passionate about culturally responsive care and has a particular interest in supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals as they navigate identity, relationships, belonging, and mental health. Her research and clinical interests focus on the ways culture, identity, and lived experience shape psychological well-being, and she approaches her work with curiosity, humility, and respect for each client's unique story.
Her background in biological sciences and experience as a certified Emergency Medical Technician inform her appreciation for the connection between mental and physical well-being. In addition to providing psychotherapy, Jasmine has experience conducting psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, including evaluations related to attention, learning, mood, personality, and diagnostic clarification.
